ACID MINE DRAINAGE - CENTRAL BASIN PROJECT

This project involved the construction of Phase 1 of the Witwatersrand Gold Fields Acid Mine Drainage ("AMD") Treatment Facilities for the Central Basin and the Monitoring Shafts. AWPC was appointed as the Main Mechanical Subcontractor by Group Five for this project

Scope Of Works:

  • Supply of Mixing equipment, Aeration, Pump Stations, Lime Dosing, Poly Dosing, Thickeners & Overhead Cranes

Employer:

  • Trans Caledon Tunnel Authority

Capacity: 

  • 72Ml/day

Project Timeline:

  • June 2015 - April 2017

  • R120 000 000.00
